With over 40 years of professional experience, Bruce Forrester and his photography are highly respected throughout Maui and the San Francisco Bay Area where he divides his time. His specialty is photographing people and events. In the 1970s Bruce photographed the Sausalito houseboat scene as it celebrated an alternative lifestyle and then fought efforts to develop their neighborhood. Simon & Schuster published a book of his photographs with text by Phil and Sue Frank in 1979 entitled "Subee Lives on a Houseboat". More recently Bruce self published "Celebration & War: The Sausalito Houseboat Community in the 1970s". 

 During the 1980's and 90s Bruce's assignment was to photograph San Francisco's high society and the many celebrities residing in as well as passing through the Bay Area. His book "Celebrity Photos of the 1980s & 90s" is available to order. He worked for a number of Bay Area and national publications and internationally his work has been published in over 30 countries. His photography has been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as well as in galleries.

 With his love for photographing people and events, he became an expert in photographing weddings and has photographed over 1500 wedding of all sizes and styles. He is available for wedding, event, and portrait photography.
